Synopsis: "Cyrano," the classic tale of the poet Cyrano de Bergerac, will be performed by The Young Company, BYU's theatre-for-young-audiences performing ensemble. Directed by David Morgan and adapted by Jo Roets from Edmond Rotand's famous 1897 play, "Cyrano" depicts a swashbuckling soldier and poet, notorious for his duels, escapades--and monumental nose. Ashamed of his appearance, Cyrano lends his eloquent tongue to help a fellow soldier woo his love, Roxanne.
The Young Company will travel with this adaptation to schools throughout the region every Tuesday and Thursday during the winter 2002 semester.
