Sister Kathleen H. Hughes, First Counselor in the General Relief Society Presidency, spoke about the living water that Jesus offers to everyone.
"There is cause to be concerned, but there is a greater reason to be at peace," she said.
She told the story from the Bible of Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus told her he had water she could drink and never thirst again.
"This living water heals, nourishes and sustains," Sister Hughes said. "It brings peace and joy."
The living water is available to all people because it is the gospel of Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost is its communicator, she said.Sister Hughes said she has learned from experience that the living water has the power to heal, and we are never abandoned in times of distress.
"The living water nourishes," she said. "Christ comes to all who are heavy laden."
The living water also brings peace and joy, even when it seems like the well has run dry, Sister Hughes said.
"The living water still offers joy and peace," she said. "When we obey, we receive confidence."
Sister Hughes said the living water is available to all, including the young women who enter the Relief Society. She said these young women strengthen the Relief Society.
She closed by saying peace comes form the Lord, but members can help one another feel that peace.
"Those who drink deeply from the fountain of living water heal themselves and become a fountain to others as well," she said.
