John Beck

In the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft the Miami Dophins selected John Beck as the 40th overall pick. Veteran starter Trent Green left the Dolphins game he started in week five at Houston with a concussion and will miss the rest of the season. Cleo Lemon started the next four games but failed to win, prompting head coach Cam Cameron to give the starting job to Beck prior to the Dolphins' Week-11 game at Philadelphia.

"When we haven't won a game, you make a change," Cameron told the Canadian Press. "John has made tremendous progress in the last month. The timing is right. He has earned the right to play."

Beck is the 12th quarterback to start for the Dolphins since Dan Marino retired at the end of the 1999 season. According to Cameron, it is the Dolphins' intention to start Beck in each of the final seven games.

Beck played in all four of the Dolphins' preseason games, completing 27 of 48 passes for a total of 300 yards. He threw two touchdowns and two interceptions. His best game came in the third week against Tampa Bay when he went 11 of 22 for 162 yards and two touchdowns.

Curtis Brown

On July 13, 2007 the Oakland Raiders signed Curtis Brown to their practice squad but the back was waived. On Aug. 6 the Cincinnati Bengals signed Brown to their practice squad and he played in three preseason games carrying the ball 17 times for 52 yards. He also had two receptions for seven yards. His best game of the preseason came in a 14-6 Bengals win over Indianapolis in which he had 43 yards on 10 carries. On Sept. 1 his contract was terminated.

Johnny Harline

The Indianapolis Colts signed Jonny Harline as an undrafted free agent following the 2007 NFL Draft. On Sept. 2, 2007, the Colts waived him. The Cleveland Browns picked him up for their practice squad on Sept. 3, 2007. He was waived on Oct. 17.

Cameron Jensen

The Seattle Seahawks signed Cameron Jensen on May 2, 2007 but released him on Sept. 1. On Sept. 2, the Seattle Seahawks signed him once again, this time to their practice squad, but on Oct. 2 they once again released him. On Oct. 10 the Seahawks assigned Jensen to the practice squad a second time. He is still on the team.

Daniel Coats

The Cincinnati Bengals signed Daniel Coats was on May 2, 2007 and the tight end has been with the team ever since. In the preseason, Coats had seven receptions for 51 yards. So far in 2007, Coats has seven receptions for 53 yards.
