Sister Beck to Speak at CES Fireside

Sister Julie B. Beck, general president of the Relief Society, will address young adults in a CES fireside Sunday, March 2. The fireside will take a place in the Marriott Center at 6.p.m. and will also be broadcast live on BYU television.

Sister Julie Bangerter Beck was serving as first counselor in the Young Women general presidency until last March when she accepted the call to be general president of the Relief Society.

Sister Beck is from Granger, Utah, where her parents, William Grant and Geraldine Bangerter, began raising their eleven children. When Sister Beck was four years old her father received a call to be the mission president in Brazil and the family moved to São Paulo for five years.

Sister Beck graduated from BYU with a degree in family science and later married Ramon P. Beck in the Salt Lake Temple in December 1973. The couple has two daughters, a son and three grandchildren. They currently live in Alpine, Utah.
