The BYU tennis teams will play their last regular season matches this weekend as the men host Santa Barbara and the women travel to face in-state rival Utah in Salt Lake.

Saturday the men's team will play its last home match of the season against No. 65 Santa Barbara. The Gauchos fell to 11-7 on the season after a 6-1 loss to No. 13 Pepperdine last week.

The two teams met in the 2005-2006 season when UCSB earned a close 4-3 win over the Cougars. Freshman Daniel Hwang defeated an opponent from Santa Barbara at the So Cal Intercollegiate Tournament in the fall.

The match begins at 1: 30 p.m. at the outdoor courts if weather permits. Admission is free and the team will provide pizza and donuts for fans.

The No. 40 BYU women's team will wrap up conference play against No. 63 University of Utah Saturday. Utah ended dropped to 4-3 in conference play last week after being swept 7-0 by TCU. The Cougars also had a rough weekend, losing to TCU and New Mexico to fall to 5-2 in conference play.

The Cougars have defeated the Utes each time the two teams have met since 2000. Most recently, the women's team earned a 4-3 win over Utah last season.

Both teams will start the post-season at the end of April as they travel to Texas for the Mountain West Conference championships.
