For the third time this season, BYU quarterback Max Hall has been named the Mountain West Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

Hall led the No. 17 Cougars to a 42-35 come-from-behind victory over UNLV on Saturday to extend BYU's home winning streak to 17 games. Down 35-34 with 6:40 left in the fourth quarter, Hall steered the offense 74 yards in 11 plays for the go-ahead score. With 1:47 remaining, he found tight end Dennis Pitta for a 6-yard touchdown to give the Cougars a 40-34 lead. On the next play, he found Harvey Unga running free for the two-point conversion.

The junior quarterback completed 24-of-31 passes for 245 yards and four touchdowns on the day. He also had three carries for 37 yards, including a career-long 31-yard run in the second quarter. This performance followed Hall's worst game of the year against TCU, where he was sacked seven times and threw two interceptions.

Hall was on fire to start and end the game against the Rebels. He completed all eight of his passes in the first quarter for 86 yards and two touchdowns, then went 8- 8 for 59 yards and a touchdown on BYU's game-winning drive in the fourth quarter.

Through eight games, Hall ranks in the top 10 nationally in five offensive categories. He's eighth in passing efficiency (161.0), completions per game (24.8) and passing yards per game (295.5), and ninth in total passing yards (2,364) and point per game (20).

Hall shared the offensive honor this week with TCU receiver Jimmy Young, who caught five passes for three touchdowns and a school-record 226 yards in the Horned Frogs' 54-7 win over Wyoming.
